Cub Scouts have the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building Pinewood Derby^® cars to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow at a family campout, your child will love being a Cub Scout. CUB SCOUTING IS A FAMILY-CENTERED PROGRAM FOR YOUTH & ADULTS

We’re all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience — no matter the difficulty of the challenge.

Cub Scouting makes the most of right now. The Cub Scouting program provides youth with a foundation they can stand on to embrace opportunity, overcome obstacles and make new discoveries. But what makes Cub Scouting truly unique is the opportunity it gives the entire family to be involved in a child’s development.

The Cub Scout program is designed to involve your child with other children the same age, where together they have fun, make friends and see new things, while gaining a sense of personal achievement from the new skills learned.

Cub Scouts are structured around dens and packs that help organize the program into various groups.

Your Scout is a member of a den.

A den is made up of five to eight boys or girls who are in the same grade.
Dens often meet one to three times a month. One of the den meetings each month may include a fun and educational field trip.
Two registered adult volunteer leaders 21 years of age or over are required at all Scouting activities, including meetings. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend meetings and to assist.*
Each den is led by a Den Leader and Assistant Den Leader.**

*A parent or guardian must accompany their Lion (Kindergarten) and Tiger (First Grade) Scouts to all meetings and activities.
**Lion and Tiger leaders share the planning of the den meetings with parents and guardians.

The den is part of a Cub Scout Pack.

A pack consists of several dens with boys and girls from the different age groups. The dens meet together once a month for a pack
meeting. Each pack is identified by a number.
The leader of the pack meeting is the Cubmaster. In addition to serving as the master of ceremonies, the Cubmaster provides support to Den Leaders.
Some months, the pack meeting will have special themes such as Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet or guest speakers. Other
months may be devoted to recognizing the Scouts for the projects they have completed by the presentation of Adventure loops, Adventure
pins, or badges of rank.
